From 0-100

On Sundays I usually look at the week ahead. E and I talk about our calendars and make sure we have everything covered for the week and know where each other is and what is going on.
This past week really had very little on the calendar...quite nice for the week after Spring Break.

Oh how wrong I was.

It was a week of high maintenence at school. There were two parent teacher meetings after school , one adminstrator meeting, one third grade parent meeting, Brownies and a faculty meeting. Leslie and Debbie were both sick on different days. My AC broke at home. I had to talk about sex to the junior girls during lunch one day. We had a dress code symposium today. I gave two tests one of which ran over by a day. One student confessed to sin in their life. A dear friend had a crisis. One student had to be sequestered due to a restraining order in place. A co worker struggled. A girl grieved because she was turning 15 and because of recent events in her life she could not have a quinceanos party. Prom needed attention and today...Kaitlin called sick from school.

Frankly I was glad to get out of there.

Why does life overwhelm me at times. How does it go to 0 -100 so quickly? Is this how it is supposed to be?

Today I prayed that God would simply give me the energy and the stamina to do all He had planned. My friend Katie reminded me to keep the important things important and to realize that the rest will be okay.
