- work/church clothes: skirts, blouses, sweaters, nice pants
- Mommy clothes: khaki shorts and a collered tee shirt
- Lounging clothes: sweats, pj, ratty shorts, work out clothes (ha!)
When trying to decide what to wear to work today I was laughing because it doenst matter how much clothing I actually HAVE, I will always want more. I love that new clothing buzz that you get...something different and new. Its like a little bit of a drug. I do understand why people get addicted to shopping. And when you put on something new...you feel GOOOOOOOODDD! It could even look like trash, but you still feel GOOOOOOODDDDD!!
I arrange my closet by color. (yes, I realize I have control issues. I try to embrace them to my benefit though so give me a break!) It helps when deciding what to wear or when looking for a specific shirt. I usually know the color so I can get in the right area to put my hands on it. Its interesting too to look at my closet because most of my clothing are black, white or red...with a sprinkling of other colors in there. HMmmmmmmm could this be an indication of how I view the world??? Either black or white?
Probably.
However, the longer I live the more I realize that life is not really black orwhite. Its lived in varying shade of gray, or as I would rather think of it...in various shades of color. Reds (passion and joy) Oranges (parties and dancing) Blues ( saddness and depression), Greens (peace and stability).
Why do I suddenly want to shop?

You want to shop because there's a thing called the Daisy Fuentes line. Color coded closet??? At least you learned something at that Dress for Success seminar . . .
work clothes: see mommy clothes
mommy clothes: the two pairs of pants & three tees that fit
church clothes: the only skirt that fits....it is all elastic and refer back to mommy clothes
going out clothes: see mommy clothes which dictates that there really aren't any going out clothes
Patti I am SO proud of you. I color code too and I don't have a problem saying it. I think it is a strength and not a quirk. The rest of the world just isn't as "together" as we are. (So what mess are we really trying to hide?)
