Today was for me.

I feel like God made today just for me.
I know this is totally a self centered and child-like view of God, but I honestly feel kissed by Him today.
The weather is beyond beautiful...cool, no clouds, very blue sky, 60 degrees, breezy.
Kaitlin is off to Jacksonville for the night.
Eric is at the office.
So Im home alone...something that rarely occurs.
All the French doors are open.
The cats are sleeping all around the house in little puddles of sunshine, moving only when the sun dictates they stretch, yawn ,and scoot a few inches forward into another sunshine puddle.
My candy apple red petunias are blooming and the pool water is the crisp clear blue.
The plants and bushes behind the house are a gorgeous vermillion.
I have Standars and Singers on the tv playing.
Dinner is cooking in the crockpot.

Solitude.

No doorbells, no phone calls, no kids, no talking to anyone.

WOW....its delicious beyond words.

Silence.
Peace.
Breathe.
Rest.
Reflect.
Stillness.

Im praying for my friend Leigh as she spends these next few Sacred Days with her husband before he goes to be with Jesus. How to you let someone go? Im not sure. I do know this is Holy Time for her...Consecrated Days. I know she is being buoyed on others prayers. I know she has said goodbye. Still I pray... peace...peace.
