Janice Dickenson

Another woman I am fascinated with is Janice Dickenson

She touts herself as the World's First Super Model....yeah...whatever.

She has been around since the 70's but I only caught up with her on the early seasons Fox's America's Next Top Model. What blew me away with her was that she was a woman without a filter. It was like watching a bad accident each week as she ripped apart the wanna-be-models.

Because I was interested ,of course, what does Betty Book Worm do..., I checked out a biography on her from the library.

Now Im always a little skeptical of biographies written about people who are still a)well...living and b) young-ish. I mean how much perspective and an author have, right? Hers was interesting. I found out what I already suspected that she was the product of a highly abusive father and a passive mother. Thus the "all holds barred" attitude.

Last season she produced her own show The Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency.

I wonder why Im so fascinated by the show. One theory is because she never ever gives a moment of honesty to the camera...even though it is touted as "reality TV". She is always in her persona. I suppose its exhausting.

My other theory is that she is simply a train wreck and I cant look away.

Wow....guess that makes me shallow. Ah well....worse things in life right? I could be Rosie O'Donnell.
