Books: Top 15
To Kill a Mockingbird: by Harper Lee (all time favorite hands down)
Anna Karenina: by Leo Tolstoy (Meaty and beautiful. Like wading through mud but amazing literature. I read this the summer I was pregant with the girl and so sick. It was wonderfully distracting)
The Life of Pi:by Yann Martel ( I cried at the end about Richard Parker)
A Million Little Pieces: by James Frey (To quote Bradford, "I dont care if its true or not, its one HELL of a great story")
Little Women: by Louisa May Alcott (favorite character: Beth...I loved her sweetness)
Requiem for a Dream: by Hubert Selby, Jr. (Darkness and Drugs)
The Virgin Suicides: Jeffrey Eugenides (Completely riveting and poignant)
The Kite Runner: by Khaled Hosseni (Amazing, amazing, amazing)
A Thousand Splendid Suns: by Khaled Hosseni (see previous post)
The Devil Wears Prada: Lauren Weisberger (I laughed and laughed. The movie doesnt do the book justice Lauren Weisberger makes me wish I lived in Manhattan and was wealthy beyond words!)
The Nanny Diaries: Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus (The best of beach reading)
Andromedia Strain: by Michael Crichton (Futuristic-end-of-the-world-made-me-a-little-afraid-of-germs)
Stones from the River: by Ursula Hegggi (Who doesnt love a story about a dwarf in WWII Germany)
Brave New World: Aldous Huxley (Soma on Speed)
Anthem: by Any Rand (I not We)
What are your favorite? I love hearing what others have read and love.
