Lunch with the Girls!

Im not a notoriously spontaneous person...if anything I need to be more spontaneous, I struggle with that.
But when Sally called on a whim late Friday morning to see if I could join the girls for lunch I decided to go!

Lunch with these dear friends refreshed my heart. They are all so low key and easy and truly a blessing to me. There are little expectations and just that ease of having been friends for many years and also being in that same stage of life.
I think what i adore the most is that we ping pong not only between each other, but also between deep topics and lighthearted things and then from joy to frustrations to whatever. Sharing the same faith as these women is our common thread and I am so truly thankful for them!

I dont know who is funniest out of these three, between Kathie with her realistic honest view of life ("adjust or self destruct") , Sally with her NYC by way of Louisiana sense of humor ("Could I get that green tea NOW?") or Katie with her hilarious wit ("Shes not such a precious jewel is she?")

Lunch (paid for by Sally)....$ 23.30

Cell phone coverage in Panera... Free (and the good Lord knows our children called us enough times!)

Laughing with friends....priceless!

Oh you must tell Kathy I said hello. She used to make me laugh. She was considered our entertainment when Eric and I used to work over at the "office". She would fling open the door and we'd be roaring from the time she walked in to the time she left. Her famous "Other" saying was "If it's not one thing, it's your mother". We even said it after our mom both died. We would have stories to tell about our moms.
