Tuesday was a crazy day!!!

Tuesday was a crazy crazy day...fun and wonderful but crazy busy!!
We started off at the Doctor for Kaitlin's 9 year old check up! I love Dr. Cannizarrio! He is awesome! She is in tremendous health and staying right on track for her normal height and weight....that was a relief for me. I was worried about her being too tall already or about this little layer of chub she has going on right now ( pre adolsecence chub according to the dr)! According to the charts this girl is going to be at least 5'10"!! Perhaps more. Im just glad she is healthy!

Then I zipped home to drop her off at Brandi's (thanks' B) so that i could meet Jeannie and Grant for lunch at Kellers! There is something so precious and fulfilling about seeing former students who are doing well. Seeing G-dawg was so sweet becasue it was so apparent that he had found himself. He was ooooozing happiness and self confidence and just being in a good place. I love it when they turn out and even despite struggle come full circle. Its a sight to behold and good for the soul.
And his momma aint bad either!! SO ENJOYED it! Thanks for lunch J!

Then, after a short stop at Home Depot for mulch for the teenager tending to my lawn, Holly and I packed up the kids and headed to Blizzard Beach!

Blizzard Beach is the sister park to Typhoon Lagoon. I couldnt decide which one I like better. Blizzard Beach has an Alpine village theme to it complete with Christmas music, snowmen and Winter-themed rides. Its quite ingenious!!! They have lots of kid areas which is so bonus for kids our ages. Jake and the girl loved the wave pool and we did Steamboat Springs three times as well as the Kitch-A-Kiddie Creek (think Lazy river)

My favorite thing was riding up the ski lift to the high water slides and then taking one of the slides down. Its such a unique feeling to be on a ski lift in your bathing suit!! The kids were hilarious on the ski lift...chattering away like anything.

I was again oddly given perspective on my own body and how it looks. I agree with Kathy in her assessment that Europeans have a different concept of body image than we do. Its weirdly refreshing. They just put it out there and go with it. I will say however that I did see one two many thongs on women who just should NOT be wearing them...European or not.

All and all, fun was had by all despite sunscreen in an eye, a pulled shoulder muscle, fear of steamboat springs, a sleepy baby, and thirty dollar hair wraps (which we did not get!) and a bout of nausea on the way home.

Sounds like you all had a super duper day!! It was nice having a day to myself yesterday while both kids were at their friends! So glad I took your advice.
