Every year we take a picture of the old shoes and the new shoes for the school year! We always laugh at how gross the old shoes are and how yummy-clean the new ones are!Everything was smooth today at school which was a wonderful way to start the year! Its so fun to see their faces and enjoy their spirit. The day was "incident free" which is always a nice thing as well!
The girl was oddly ambivalent about her day. She is usually very excited about school but today not so much! I could tell the minute she got in the car. Its okay...it will all shake down in a few days and she will be in the swing of things. I think experiencing different personality types is always good for her even if it is not her preference...it helps her grow and learn how to be flexible.

AAWWW! I love the shoe idea!! We take a picture the first day of school every year, but I wish I would have thought of the shoe thing!! My kids feet are so stinkin' big now I would need a wide angle lens!
As far as the first day of school going so smoothly... word on the street is, that it was ALL because of the FABULOUS new Assit. Principal at the high school. I don't know...I'm just saying.

I think Kaitlin grew a foot while we were gone, even her feet!!! What a beautiful young lady!
