I tend to read alot of books by female authors but as of late Ive been reading books that have been written by men. Not consciously, but its just happened and I have enjoyed them immensely. Its kind of like still having ice cream but of a different flavor. It been a nice change to read from a male voice
Of course I triple loved A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hossini. He is an amazing author and one I would heartliy recommend.
I am almost done with Life of a Hamburger: the story of two calves, one man and the feeding of a nation. The author decided to take a year and follow the life a hamburger...starting with the birth of a calf and following it to slaughter. I will tell you what its been a bit eye opening reading about the dairy industry, the antibiotics and drugs they use on cattle, as well as the slaughter industry. Its been making me re think beef and milk. I actually bought some soy milk last week at the grocery and found it not terrible. I believe Kathy Sweet in responsible for this vein of interest in my life. And I say this while eating a chocolate chip brownie with a glass of milk...not soy milk either. SIGHhhhhhhhh
The 64$ Tomato by William Alexander is about the year in the life of a gardner and his quest for the garden of his heart. This man cracks me up beause he is very self depreciating and has grandious ideas followed by humbling results.
Lastly, I just started Same Kind of Different as Me. by Ron Hall and Denver MooreIm just beginning it so I dont know that much about it, but Ill keep you posted!!

I would have to add Memiors of a Geisha to your list (if you haven't read it yet) as stunning example of a man writing about women.
