Yeah...Im really missing fall right now.
I hate the heat at this time of year more than any other time. It just seems so wrong to me.
I was thinking about how I miss sweaters and actually wearing jackets. I have literally one jean jacket and a long overcoat for when we go to Chicago.
Know what else I miss...I miss fall baseball. You know going to a baseball game and its actually a little nippy out and you want a jacket or have a blanket around you.
Chicago has two great baseball teams...the White Sox and the Cubs. While I am a Cubs fan, those on my immediate famly are White Sox fans. I love the Cubs because to me they are a true blue collar team...Their stadium is right in the heart of a big city neighborhood. When E and I got married part of our honeymoon was in Chicago and we took the El (Elevated Train) went to Wrigley Field (CUBS for those of you who dont know) with some friends. During changing of innings we went down to front of the seating area to have our picture taken with the field in the background. Of course we were mugging for the camera and a Cubs fan yells out in true Cubs fan style, "HEY...GET A ROOM!" and of course I yell back , "HEY...GIVE ME A BREAK, WE JUST GOT MARRIED!!!" and he yells back " I DONT CARE...IM HERE TO SEE A GAME LITTLE GIRL!!" He was smiling and so was I.
ah...good memories...

Don't forget the Shedd Aquarium next door to Wrigley's. Now there is venue! By the way, I collect fish (I know this isn't the right blog entry to make that comment and I'm a week or sol late . . . ). lots of African Cichlids now (from Lake Malawi, a Rift Lake), but I have had aquariums off and on since LBJ was president (late sixties for you youngsters). South American Cichlids, salt water, too. You name it I've kept them. And I know the scientific names of my collection too. [Poor Sally!]
Later,
Having lived in Florida most of my life I have just one question: what is Fall?
Girl, you need to come to GA, next month. I have a room you can stay in and I will show you "fall" like no other.
