Anyone want some kittens?
Yes...believe it or not they are still with us. They came in June and here it is over 3 months later and they are still here! They are sweet, dont get me wrong, but it is time for them to find other homes. They are turning into cats and while 3 kittens are a basket of fun, 3 cats go through alot of cat litter!! They are very fun and run around like little monkeys but Im ready to have the relief from the extra chores they beg.
Will I miss them...yes, but I think somehow going into it knowing they arent going to be yours does change my mindset at least. I havent given them my heart....except maybe Mike Rowe, who is curled up here by my feet while I type. I think we will keep him.
Not suprisingly, our other cats, George W and Spooky also have opinions...they want to be the only cats as well. George cracks me up because he definately lures them in with the promise of playing with them and then smacks them with his paw when they come close. Not that it stops them from coming back for more...its the nature of kittens. Plus probably good lessons for them to learn that they are lower in the pecking order than the older cats.
Holly tells me that in the last week Spooky has enlarged his territiry. Being the last cat added to our brood,he had the smallest territory to call his own. This is typical of cat behavior...Basically his area has been the front yard. Dexter's was our front yard, Holly's yard and also the Greenspan's yard. George, whore that he is, has the whole dang neighborhood. However, Holly told me that since Dexter has gone, Spooky his enlarging his roaming area and she now finds him in her yard all the time, under her cars and hiding in her bushes. Cats are smart. I wonder if he thinks he is picking up the slack for Dexter or if he is just rubbing his paws together in his mind while constructing a master plan to overtake the neighborhood. Probably the latter.
So...the question remains...anyone want a kitten?

I'm sorry they haven't been adopted yet! I know you're ready to have them find a home! What happens if no one wants them, does Caryn take them back?
