Days off

We a day off on Friday

It makes me miss being home full time.(although I know I would be completely bored.)

I do love to putter around and just tweak things around the house.

The girl and I slept in and just hung out this morning, did some errands and just enjoyed each other today. I love that child...even if she is getting the whole "pre-teen" thing going. Today at the store I said, " Girl....what is with 'tude!?!" She looked at me blankly...totally not even knowing what I was saying.

I was in search of a big urn for by our front door for flowers...I didnt find what I was looking for, but just being in the garden centers of various stores made me miss gardening.

I do love to garden--my aunt taught me alot about gardening and helped me so much with our old house getting the gardens in order there. She was the CHAMPION of making these big gorgeous pots of various flowers spilling out of it. Really, she taught me how to make it look so pretty and manage it. We spent many hours together out in my garden and countless trips to Home Depot garden center. My sister has a beautiful garden a well.

Since being in this house I havent really kept a garden. It has to do with a lack of time, but also the location of our beds...they get so much sun that the plants get scorched in the summer. So when I have time (summer) its not really worth planting because everything burns up. So really I wouldnt even garden until February.

So, I didnt find a big urn which was probably just as well, but I did buy some round up and spent some time outside this afternoon waging the every constant battle against weeds.

Come live in the mountains, you can have a garden that actually grows. It's wonderful. Of course, you can't afford anything else but, you can grow a garden. Hmmmm what a toss up. B

I love to garden! I spent all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the yard putzing around with Marla. We cleared out a flower bed and planted marigolds, zinnias, and astors. It was so fun and looks really great. They're in the sun, too, but we're hoping the won't burn up this time of year... we'll see.

If you're still looking for an urn, try the statue and urn place on 436 in East Altamonte. (It's east of Calico Corners before you get to 17-92.)
