What have I been reading lately?

Nothing good!

Ive been in a reading dry spell...not that I havent been reading, but just that I cant find anything that is so incredible that I cant put it down...you know, I book that you just have to finish. I suppose this is the fall out from reading very good writing for a good bit; you realize that there is alot of crap out there.

Im not proud of it, but here it is: (keep the laughter to a minimun)

1. The Manny... a ficticious account of a male nanny (thus manny) in NYC. Of course he falls in love with the mother and he is the opposite of her boorish Wall Street husband. Blah blah blah blah, read it a thousand other times...And the ending was ridiculous...it was one of those where you feel like the author just said, "OH! Book is done, the end!" (eye rolling)

2. Frontal Lobe...a non fiction account written by a female neurosurgeoun about her experience becoming a woman in a predominantly male field. While interesting, its not nearly as entertaining as Gray's Anatomy.

3. Veil of Roses..a ficticious story of an Afgan woman trying to get married while on her travel visa to the United States to see her sister. It sounds good, doesnt it....Ugh...it was completely shallow, predictable and, well, just flat. I saw the ending coming from about page 10.

4. Tigers in the Snow... A year plus of tracking the elusive Siberian tiger and seeing its habitat. Really more of a photonovel than a real book. Yeah...lets just leave it at that.

5. I am Legend...Will Smiths' movie for Christmas. You know how the book is always better than the movie...well, we shall see, I just started this one.

Yeah, talk about your dry spells....anyone??? Suggestions???
