Things I dont like about the Christmas season:
1. Hanging christmas lights on the house
2. The stress of getting everything bought, wrapped and sent out on time
3. The mess after unwrapping everything
4. Finding places to put all the gifts
5. Tacky decorations...although tacky IS in the eye of the beholder
6. Having to attend too many parties and programs
7. Decorating the tree (shhhh I know its so un- holiday-ish!)
8. The heat when it should be snowing
9. The mall
10. No snow in Florida

Yes. Bah, humbug.
My complaint is that, of all the things Christianity has to put up with in our culture, having our two most important reliigious holy days (holidays) in competition with two gift-giving mythical beings, is really annoying.
The pressure to "DO" everything with little to no help from a husband who thinks all the gift-giving and decorating is dumb and has no relevancy to the actual celebration of Jesus. Geez, what a Scrooge. (He won't complain about the cooking and baking though!) And I'm with ya on the heat!
I would have to say the night after night of "doing" is what gets to me. I have something booked everynight from now till Christmas and that comes along with managing a household, baking cookies, wrapping gifts, finishing the shopping, and prepare for a trip to Texas. I can at this point sleep sitting straight up - did it last night till 3 a.m. For all I know, I e-mailed frosty the snowman at the North Pole while blogging a Walmart story on how not to spend your holidays shopping at Wally World! I feel the same way tonight. And to think, it's ONLY getting better!
