Christmas Carols

Christmas Carols that I enjoy:

1. Once in Royal David's City (Seriously, I used to sing it to Kaitlin when she was a baby....all four verses!!!)

2. Angels We have Heard on High (and that is angels..not angles...)

3. We Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In (not religious, but I do like it)

4. Good King Wenselas (I love the part about the Feast of Stephen and and poor man gathering fu---hoooooo----el

5. Joy to the World (see blog on Chevy Chase)

Christmas Carols that I don't enjoy:

1. Oh Come all Ye Faithful (where we going???)
2. The Twelve Days of Christmas ( For real...the song goes on and on and on and on....)

3. Away in a Manger (its sweet, but I find its message incongruous with the actual state of events that probably occurred...smelly cave, rough manger, cold....)

4. Frosty the Snowman. (Its just wrong...Id be scared to death if a snowman came to life!!)

I have never heard of Once in Royal David's City. Is that some Dutch song? And I can't believe you don't like "Oh Come All Ye Faithful;" we're going to adore him, that's where we're going! I'm with ya on the rest though.
