Yes...thats right, Im about exhausted. Its all good stuff but honestly, Im TIRED!!! I wonder why Im so much more tired this year than last? Maybe last year I spread out the festivities more but dang I want a nap.!
The week in review:
Monday night: Christmas program at School. The girl was adorable playing her trumpet (video to be posted later) and her intensity on it was just precious! But it was a late night for a school night.
Tuesday night: Brandi's birthday celebration at Appleby's. Oh my..it was such fun with good food and lots of laughing. The drinks were yumy too...and this is from a non-drinker!!
Wednesday: The girl had Girl Scouts and we had "cookie training" which always makes me giggle...really its just that we have to sign a permission slip that our kids can sell Girl Scout cookies. (Let me know if you want to order!!!) We got home about 5pm ish, which again..is late for a school night (to arrive home that is...not to go to bed!!!)
Thursday: I got to have lunch with one of my favorite people, A. ( I have to think of a good name for her...perhaps Ill go with an Indian-inspired name and she could be She-Who-Loves-Books...yep, thats it!) Good food and good conversation is always a blessing! My favorite cavat from her (which I intend to do a whole blog about eventually) was this..."Whatever youre doing right now, you need to be the best at it!" She is indeed brilliant!!
Friday: The girl got invited to spend the night with a friend and so I went and did the million things I had to do. It was such good timing I was so thankful that she had somewhere fun to go. I went to the library to drop books, hit the mall, visited Linens and Things, went home to put in a load of laundry and to fold a load and vaccum before the man came home. Then out again to Walmart to get a few items I knew they had and to put in some photos I wanted developed. I also stopped by Petsmart and got our animals new collars for Christmas. I was tanked by 8pm and went to bed after doing a yummy logic puzzle. (I realize I am a nerd, but at least I embrace it and its relaxing for me)
Saturday: For some reason I woke up at 4am and couldnt go back to sleep. So I got up and wrapped presents for an hour and a half, ate Reeses (thinking of you Pum Pum) and watched Grey's Anatomy. I returned to bed and slept until 8am only to arise and resume wrapping. My husband, being in a gracious mood, actually helped me by folding laundry, putting dishes up and making the bed! (It was a wonderous event!) From there I went to the bank, the pool store, Borders, Target and the mail store to ship off all gifts to our extended family across the nation.
Oh yeah...and I went to the grocery.
Is it any wonder I want a nap? I feel better though...I was really stressing suddenly realizing all I had to do. I wonder where that pressure comes from, I know its internal, but it sure drives me beyond measure.
Well tonite, I forcast a long bubblebath, a good movie, and pizza. Although....my husband just asked if he could open up the Play Station that we got as a famly gift and play it so who knows....I may be driving Jet Skis through water mazes to complete my night.
Until later....
