Happy New Year!

While I am not Trevor, I love his graphics and sentiment! Happy New Year all!
While I slept in to a delightful 9am this morning, I will tell you that I ate 100 calorie yougart for breakfast, read Matthew 1,went online to download a New Testament in a year schedule, and loved on my husband. SO...so far, a few hours into the New Year, all resolutions are intact!
Tomorrow work resumes.
The holiday flew by...I would like a couple more days, of course, isnt that how it always goes? We did a lot of fun things but didnt rest enough I think. For the most part I was able to get my list of "things to take care of over the break" done. That feels good, but I do wish I could have a few days to just lounge in the pajamas and watch movies or whatever...not that that would ever be able to happen being a mom. I think what made the holiday feel so short is that we went Wednesday to Wednesday thus cutting out that third weekend. Nice for us this week though in that we only have two days of school with the students back.
Ill look forward to the structure of the school day, of course, being one who love routine, and at the same time I will have to gear up to having "life in order" to a certain degree. Things have to happen each day to ensure that our family can function and work and go to school and eat and well, have a life. Its that pressure that I dont necessarily love. I think in the back of my head I believe that if I didnt work outside the home then there would not be that pressure...its not really true because I know that regardless of if I were in the home or not during the day, that pressure would remain. Laundry needs to be folded, cats need feeding, lunches need to be made, trash taken out, beds made, dinner prepared...its all there. I guess during break I dont mind it as much because its not tied to a time constraint. Ah well...Im rambling.
Off we go...I cant wait to see what 2008 will bring!
