Dinner and a Movie

Pum Pum and I took in a movie last night...The Other Boleyn Girl. It was VERY GOOD!

Usually I dont love period movies, but this one really was excellent. Having taught about that time period in history previously, I was familar with the time and politics of what was going on. It was a time of intrigue and secrecy and decadance in the palace. All three major actor/esses were very convincing in their roles.

I love going out with Pumnani! People love her...and its not just because she is Indian. She is just genuinely a fun and giving person. We talked about this over dinner....about why she enjoys her extended family so much and she summed it up by saying, "None of us really have to have our own way...its generally more important for each of us to know that the others are happy." WOW!! Now that is a legacy. It must be an Indian trait because I know its not typical of Americans.

T. joined us at the movies. She was cracking us up because she went by herself having been abandoned by her 3 boys and husband who went to see I AM LEGEND at the dollar theater. I give her props for going alone to see it. Like any good woman she said, "I wasnt going to waste a night out without anyone to take care of!" We enjoyed her company as well....except for her fatal mistake...she didnt eat Reeses . SIGHhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

We almost made her sit elsewhere.
