Singing

I very much enjoy singing.

Seriously, I love it. Just ask the girl who constantly tells me to stop it!

I have a horrible voice and cannot carry a tune. My sister used to get irritated with me when singing at church because I sang LOUDLY and OFF TUNE. It used to be so funny because she would get out the hymnal and turn to the hymn and I would grab the edge of the book to share it with her (this was on the rare occassions when our parents allowed us to sit next to each other) she would eventually give me the whole book, lean down and get another hynmal to sing from because I kept throwing her off. (She on the other hand COULD sing!) Oh my... I certainly dont blame her.

However, I do take great joy in singing at church. I love it. Mostly because it doesnt matter how awful I sound, I can actually sing it out. Its a great feeling singing those words to a living God. Expecially when the song is particularly meaningful. I do feel badly for those who actually can carry a tune and have to be around me, but I figure, Hey, we are all worshipping, right? Ive been singing (Vicki) How Can I Stop Singing Your Praise for two weeks straight now.

I also sing a lot in the car.

When Im by myself that is.

This morning it was Girls Just Wanna Have Fun at full volume.

Yesterday was Vogue

Really, in all actuality, its a shame I cant carry a tune because I would have made one HELL of a pop star.

Of course, this ,we all know. (wink wink!)

My oldest daughter is tone deaf and can't carry a tune, but my middle daughter and youngest have great voices. I know they did not get it from me so it's gotta be from Nicks sister Brenda. Yes there is another Brenda in this family. She has an awesome voice, so we give her the credit for the voices my children inherited. As we all know, I claim no musical or mathamatical talent!
