Schools out...well...sort of!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!

Well, the girl ended a week ago, but I had to work 5 more days so today is my FIRST DAY OF SUMMER...well sort of...

I started two online classes this past week!

SHEESH!! ITS ALOT OF WORK!!! Im taking Foundations of Counseling and also Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling right now. They are both three week courses which is nice, but um...I realize now I shouldnt have taken both of them at the same time.

Not that i had a choice.

Yes indeed, I left my continuing education hours until the LAST MONTH before my certification comes up. I know, this is very un-Patti-Shiversesque!! Seriously, you have five years to get either 120 hours of inservice points or take 6 credit hours of classes. Honestly...this is the last opporunity I had until the time frame closed which is June 29. RUDE! I just kept thinking over the past 5 years that it would take care of itself, but hello...here we are and Im scrambling!

Its HARD and time consuming. Im learning alot, but thank the LORD its only three weeks. I couldnt keep up this pace of posting two comments per class per day which each need to be 200 words long, completeing two papers a week per class (thats FOUR papers a week folks!!! all in AMA style which I STILL dont totally understand!!)

Ah well, at least im on my way to getting that long thought about counseling degree.

Good thing, cause Im going to need some counseling after this!!
