To attend or not to attend

I rarely want to go out at night.

Seriously. Im totally not a night person and if i had my pick, Id be in bed by 9 every night I know..its so, well...OLD sounding. I keep thinking that maybe when the girl is older or when she is gone Ill change my schedule so that I stay up late and sleep in...then Ill be very cool, right?? No, then Ill actually BE old!

That said, recently I was blessed by attending the first Bible study Ive gone to in about 2 years. It was a A's house, which really was the main pull for me. We are doing a book entitled The 7 Hardest Things God Asks Women to Do. Its very basic...not very theological, but addresses stuff that all women deal with at all levels of life, married, single, kids, no kids, working, stay at home etc. Check out A's blog for a recap. And Ms Sweet, you were missed!

The turn out was a hodgepodge of women...a real cross section of ages and stages, but I was reminded how that is such a positive thing as we all learn from eachother because we are different. What struck me at the end, during the prayer time, is how no matter that I barely knew some of the women, that there was such a variety of people, is that God is the same. The spirit of the Lord shows up and delights in us. His presence was felt. It made me smile and get teary to know that God exists in the praise of his people and he hears us when we ask for guidance.

While I NEVER want to go out...Im always so glad when I make the effort and do it. The other night was no exception!
