Summer Loves

Summer is always time for a step out of the ordinary. Its what makes summer, summer...a break from everything. I love that my career allows me to still have the down time for a couple of months.

Here's some of my favorite products/stuff of this summer.

1. Smucker's uncrustables. I have no idea but I am addicted to them! Its like my nasty little secret...pure comfort food!!!

2. Continuous spray sunscreen. The person who had this

idea is BRILLIANT! LOVE it! Too bad its like 8 dollars a bottle

and you can use a whole bottle in one outing!! Still, at times its

definately worth the extra bucks!!

3. DOUBLE SOLITAIRE!!! Every night after dinner! We taught the girl how to play and now its triple solitaire. Throw in a neighbor or two and you have a massive yelling, throwing, speed-focused game. We used to play this all the time during college during our winter interim break. I laugh now because we used to get so MAD at each other...cards would be flying as well as expletives and accusations of each other of cheating. We play the G-rated version now but one can still hear
my favorite non-cussing cuss, "SON OF A MOTHER!!"

4. Kellog's Bluberry Poptarts. OH MY LANDS. I love them!!I know its kid food, but I cant help myself!! Im eating one right now!!!

5. Kathy Griffin My Life on the D List. If you can get past her ribald venacular its actually quite humorous. She is so over the top that its so funny to me. The show is in second runs right now but not having seen them previous its all new to me.

6. Ken's Basalmic Vinegar Dressing. I love it. Incredible on a salad and also as a marinade. PERF for grilling!

7. Little Dairy Manor. Its located on 434 right in the heart
of Forest City. Its like 5 minutes by car and one of those old
free standing walk up to the window and order places.
We will just randomly pop up there after dinner for
their delish ice cream! OH MY. One time at the beginning
of the summer we actually went four times in one week.
Truly...its yummo!

I have yet to try the Dairy Manor! Looks like we'll have to make a trip up there soon :)

I LOVED DAIRY MANOR! I miss it too. It was close to Spring Oaks where we lived. We however settle for Dairy Queen here and we have to take the motorcycle to go get it, so besides the thrill of the ride, I get my "Peanut Buster Parfait" and back home in 25 minutes! There is no such thing as "around the corner" up here.
