Sounds like...

Several years ago I re-read the whole Little House on the Prarie series. I wanted to read it as an adult and see if my interpretation of the book was the same as it was when I was a child. Of course it wasnt...it was actually much better as an adult. I also enjoyed reading parts of the series with the girl recently as she worked her way through all the books. (She finally told me to stop telling her that I could recite the entire series titles by heart*)

The 6th book, The Long Winter tells the story of a particularly hard winter piercing, howling wind and snow of that a blizzard beat against the house for days on end. When the blizzard finally passed she expresses how the quiet is almost as troubling...the silence deafening after the constant strength of the wind.

Thats how I feel about all this dang rain!!Hurricane/Tropical Wind rain goes sideways and comes in gusts against the house and windows. We are used to hearing the drip and run of the everyday afternoon summer showers here in Florida, but this kind of rain and wind is tiring. Im sick of hearing it on the sun roof too!!

Hey Fay...time to MOVE IT ALONG sista!! Be gone with you already!!
