Predicaments and Laughter

At the 6am feeding, I am always trying to decide if I want to go back to sleep once the baby girl is asleep again or get up and begin my day. Both choices have merit.
If I sleep, that is delicious and wonderful because I get another two hours, which, those of you who have ever had a newborn, can make all the difference in your day. Conversely, if I choose to get up and get my day started, I feel like Im ready to meet the day once the baby girl wakes up for her 9 am feeding. I can get the dishwasher emptied, laundry folded and put away, the beds made, bottles made, email answered and the house straightened and also see E and the girl off and get myself together (becasue sadly, although THIS--picture me pointing to my hair and face--looks good, it takes some effort!)

This morning I was STARVING when I woke up at 5 30 and decided to not only stay awake after feeding the baby girl, but that I wanted a sausage and egg ciabata from Panera. Have you had these? OH MY LANDS...its like a little piece of heaven in the morning! So after feeding, changing and burping the baby girl, making sure the girl was asleep and that E was conscious, I grabbed my keys and headed to Panera.

Its like 6:15 when I got there and when I went to pull on the door to open it, it was locked! Befuddled I looked at the sign that told the business hours and lo and behlold, Panera doesnt open until 6:30!! SIGH.....

Well I figured I just had a few minutes and so I walked over to the Walmart right in the same plaza to kill a few minutes. Im browsing halloween costumes, and five dollar DVD's when I feel this woman push past me in a hurry. As she passes me I look up and see that she is one irritated woman AND that she is only wearing an oversized NIGHTSHIRT and ratty flip flops. I watched her for a few minutes, incredulous that ANYONE would go to Walmart in their pajamas! I mean really, that is so stinking tacky and redneck!!

And then I looked down.

And I realized.

I still had my pajamas on.

Oh my....

I guess its true, Pride Goeth Before the Fall.

This is hysterical cause living up here in the mountains, you NEVER know what you will see at Walmart! And that's not at 6 a.m. in the morning either. So you would have fit right in if you lived here and in the middle of the day no less.
You go girl. What a great story. Put that in the baby book, she will appreciate this when she grows up.
