Gingerbread

Every year during Thanksgiving we make a gingerbread house. Nothing terribly special, the box kit...not very creative, but the girl loves it. We usually make it on Thanksgiving day to sort of move us into the Christmas season. However, Saturday the girl requested that we make it. Not having alot going on I let her have at it. It wasnt our best gingerbread house, but the amount of fun she had doing it "her"way and by "her"self was well worth it. 10 is such a fun age.

Oh and for the record...there were no candy canes in the box.

At least that's the story that we're sticking to. And no, that is not peppermint on my breath!
Baby sister was not impressed in the least with our efforts...the swing had her completely out!

I so remember you guys doing that last year. Too cool. I think I need to build one of those with my grandkids when we see them.
