This post may cause Pumnani to fall over with the "vapors" but Im going to admit that I HATE decorating for Christmas.
I know...I know...get the frigging smelling salts.
SIGH... the whole thing is soo annoying to me. This is one of those things I seriously wish that I DID like, but I just dont. Bric brac annoys the crap out of me, and well...we have christmas bric brac!
Its annoying having to get the lights and boxes of Christmas stuff down from the attic. I mean seriously, didnt we just put them up there like last month? And then it smells...always smells. I guess its Florida or something. Lord, I hope its not all the roach carasses that make it smell. KIDDING!!! (although one year we did find out that you shouldnt put an orange with cloves n the attic...YIKES)
E does the lights on the outside of the house. Although smart man that he is he put up hooks several years ago and now can do the lickity split when he wants to.
The girl seems like she would be a great help, but in reality she bounces from one thing to the next and just like so to open up the boxes and take stuff out and not really put them where the go. The whole time Im ticking away my little agenda in my mind and remembering to BREATHE and just relish the excitement that she has.
And the advent calendars...OH for pity's sake, how many of these do we need to have in the house??? Dutifully each day she moves them to the next position. I have a velcro tree that you put an ornament on for each day, a gingerbread sash that has the gingerbread man move each day in December, and the little drawer one that you open up the drawer each day and get a prize.
I realize they have medication for people like me.
Im giggling at myself for being so "grinch-ish" about it.
I do love two things though...ill talk about them in subsequent posts:
1. My Christmas book collection
2. My ornaments from childhood.
For now, I have to go make some babies cry and take presents away from orphans... Youre a mean one...Mr. Grinch....

Oh my! You must have a thorn in your foot like the Abominable Snowman. Let me remove it and all will be merry and bright!
I will pray for you, but first I will take a stroll through my winter wonderland, sipping on hot cider, enjoying Christmas cookies, all the while humming 'We wish you a Merry Christmas'. Ok...I'll be humming "It's a tightrope" You get the picture...ha!ha!
And to all a good night!
Bish!
xoxo ;) hahahaha
