The Library

I am a reader.

My husband is not.
At all.

Seriously.

The big joke is that in our 13 years of marriage he has taken the SAME BOOK on every vacation that we have even taken. He has to re start it every time because he never finishes it and then forgets the plot!

Now me...I couldnt live without books! It is odd for a day to go by in which I dont read. Last year my goal was to read 100 books. I made it to 87. This year I set my goal for 85. Im not sure if I will meet it...Im a little behind right now in my numbers. Id like to think that I make up for it in the types of books Im reading.

Saturday we stopped at the library to return a book that was well over due (20 dollars overdue!--it wasnt even that good!) Since she was old enough to go to "Babytime" at the library (18 months) the girl has loved the library like any daughter of mine should. When she was tiny and out of school still we tried to go every week. When she was in the lower primary grades we settled for every other Saturday. This year we have not be able to go as frequently. I miss it and cant wait for summer...

When we got there, the girl went directly to her section and began searching for old favorites and new books in favorite series that she reads. I went to the new arrivals sections and E...well he was like..." THERES SO MANY BOOKS HERE!"

Uh Duh!

He ended up going down stairs to the "Friends of the Library" section where they sell old books and mags for like 25 cents a book.

After a half hour, the girl and I come trudging down the stairs loaded with about 10 books each. What did E get....THE SAME BOOK HE TAKES ON VACATION EVERY YEAR!!!! He's like "Look honey it was only 35 cents!!!"

SIGHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
