I think marriage is hard!
Its not that I dont love my husband because I do. Its just we are rather so different than each other. It makes it hard.
We got in a whopper fight this weekend about the house (our usual argument). Part of it was because i was tired from prom and part of it was just that i have unrealistic expectations of how tidy the house should be. Part of it is his having his own "Splash Zone" and then having spillage from there. We both suck at fighting because we dont fight fair. It gets personal. And then there are hurt feelings. Its never really about the issue its always about control or desire or selfishness.
We really are different.
He is global. I am detailed.
He is phlegmatic. I am more Chloric.
He is "Do it later". I am "Do it now".
He is "What if Jesus comes back before then...it wont matter then!" I am "You think Jesus wants to come back to a dirty house?"
He is defense. I am offense
He fixes it when it breaks. I make it so it doesnt break.
He pays the bills when they are due. I pay them before they are due.
He is fun then work. I am work, then fun.
He is calm. I am restless.
He is glad to see things how they are. I am always wanting to make it better.
I know God uses marriage to santify us...to make us better and to work on the rough parts of ourselves. Whats hard is that I think that E needs all the work done and he thinks I do!We are iron to each other and we sharpen one another.

Opposites do attract! I totally get what you are saying! It can be so hard! That's why God made girlfriends ;)
It has been the last year of my life that my marriage has been the hardest. Statistics say 9 out of 10 marriages that lose a child will divorce. It's been tough to not be one of those "9's." The Lord has taught me alot over the last year. Some bad ALOT good, but VERY hard lessons. Still workin on it. Still not sure if it will work.
