From the mouth of the preacher-man

From Pastor Chuck Berry after reading SUNDAY.

Don't be discouraged but rejoice, my Sister! FOR YOU are being found worthy in Jesus to FEEL the very real CONFLICT between who you really ARE BECOMING IN CHRIST and who you ONCE WERE ( who you "used to be," (that's past tense, Teach!) even yesterday! ) the "past tenseone" that Satan wants you to believe ultimately defines YOU FOREVER...HE IS A LIER!), as God lovingly, persistently, pries our fingers off of the things this world system puts forth as "worthy", self-authenticating, self-actualizing, self-absorbing - and conforms us into Christ Jesus' image from glory to glory!

I would dare say that Sunday AM "tension" is not uncommon and could actually be an "obstacle" that is common and even NORMAL (yet quite unspoken) behavior on the Sabbath for the Christian family! Hey, Remember what God tends to use obstacles for... He uses the obstacles themselves to expose the enemy and even defeat Him, at least parially loosening the enemy's grip on us as we come to know that we are made for more than this broken "merry go round" of a world yet to have been "renewedin fullness".

What day of the week would I need to be MORE AGGRESSIVELY DISTRACTED, MORE INTENTIONALLY CAUSED TO BECOME PREOCCUPIED BY THE IMMEDIATE, in order to miss the TRUTH of the gospel that sets us free and encourages me to see the LONG VIEW of the coming Kingdom in fullness? BINGO... SUNDAY! Remember, LET US ENCOURAGE AND REMIND ONE ANOTHER LOVINGLY TO TAKE THE "LONG VIEW" especially in the SHORT RUN! WE SIMPLY WON'T BE ABLE TO CONTAIN OR HOLD ONTO THIS GOOD NEWS ON OUR OWN!

WE MUST DEPEND ON EACH OTHEROne day all we simply talk about and imagine WILL BECOME THE REALITY FOR ALL! Rest assured!

Yeah....he gets it.
