Sorry for anyone reading this who really MIGHT be struggling with anorexia but I think I have the opposite of it. You know how anorexics have see themselves as fatter than they really are? I see myself as thinner than I really am...and then I see it picture! EKkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!
We have been taking gadzillions of pictures on our trip so far...Of course we all know we are our worst critics, but good lord...who's butt is that on my backside!!! SIGHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ive got to get on the losing weight thing. Pray that i would be motivated and get on the ball! Its time.
I know that was random...but I did think that earlier today!
Ive forgotten my cord to upload any pics but I must say that today was the most delightful day I have had in a long long time. The girl and I headed to Chicago on the 8:58am train this morning. What a riot showing her about how to ride a train. We arrived a little early to Western Springs which is were I grew up. She cracked me up because the town is DEAD on Sundays...you know, everything closes up...so unlike what we have in Orlando. We arrived early and took some pictures of the town (look for those later). She was duly charmed with the old bakery and hardware store but kept asking..."Where IS everyone?!"
Today was just one of those magical precious gifts that you get with your child. We went to the American Girl store and shopped and had brunch. It was completely indulgent and girlie and sweet and memorable. Our table was a nook looking out on the John Hancock tower and the WaterTower..three flights up. We took the bus to Navy Pier and rode the Ferris Wheel...and then we took a cab and went to see WICKED!!! I also got to treat her to a real Chicago hot dog and soda from Mickey's at Navy Pier.
I had to suppress a chuckle on her take of WICKED...she was totally nonplussed with the whole show. She found Glinda humorous but really was quite figety by intermission. Ah well...that too will come!
Tomorrow I get to spend time with my favorite aunt (SUCH a treat!) and the girl is off to the zoo with my sister and nephew, who...I might add...is completely adorable!!
