Two things that have annoyed me about this trip.
One is that I have SWEATED the whole time. What is it with older people and being cold! Pair that with me toting some extra weight and you have the formula for a hot and sweaty person! I keep jacking the AC down and mom keeps putting it up. Ive ended up sleeping with the fan on full blast and lying in a pool of my own sweat! My hair has been consistently frizzy because even though I straighten it out the heat and my own sweat makes it curl...oh yes...ive looked just FABULOUS this trip (insert eye rolling)
The second thing is that they have low flow shower heads. (Recall my two previous blogs on Showers and shower pressure) Not good!!!
So Im sooo looking forward to my visit to my aunt's today...partly because I love her and cant wait to see her in the flesh (as we talk throughout each week there isnt much to "catch up" on)but partly because I know Im going to ask her if I can take a shower there AND she is a woman like me in that she likes it COLD COLD COLD in her house! Im sooo looking forward it to...and guess what happens?
Her power goes out!
SIGHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Can I catch a flipping break?
The shower itself was lovely but it really didnt matter cause in a matter of minutes I was sweating again...

(In my best Grant voice) WHAT THE ......
muahahah ha ha haaaa typical isn't it!!
I always hated going to visit my mother in Western NY in the summer. She lived in a house with NO AC and upstairs was like a hotbox. She had these fans or so called fans that never worked and Nick and I would just about kill each other from the mattress that rolled to the middle along with the sweating from the heat. NOT to mention she had this outdoor lamp on the corner of her house that could have lit up a football field. Security reasons' I guess (or the only one my brother-in-laws could find to put up there) and it hummmmmed allll night long. AND water pressure - oh my this house was sooo old, there was barely any water pressure. It did however have the best drinking water - barnone! Well water. You flushed the toilet and it got ice cold in the kitchen faucet - no lie.
