Rock Springs

We went to Rock Springs with the kids today...Holly, Brandi and I.

I really love Rock Springs...I love that its so close, that its relatively low stress once you get there and that its not like a HUGE park so you are not running all over the place.

We got there early enough where there werent too many people at first. Holly and Brandi parked the cars while I scouted out a good place with the kids and tubes. After spraying all four of them down with sunscreen, they ran to the spring and jumped in...so nice a life guard is there.

They have really updated it since we were there last year...The sandy areas are better and the launch areas are more easily accessible.

We put in at the spring head which was a hilarious scene to behold. I dont mind cold water and knew it was just a quick shock and then all would be okay. Picture little Holly trying to get in a tube without getting her bottom wet and then keeping baby Jack dry as well. I think Brandi's scream was the best though!!

We floated down to the lagoon and then did the lower half of the spring as well. By then the kids were yammering for food even though it was not yet noon, so we fed them and dilly dallied around for a bit and then did the run again. It had gotten more crowded which can be annoying and poor Jack was hungry so Holly pulled out at the lagoon.

B and I were left with the kids and I was DYING laughing because this big ole red neck was floating down behind us. When we started talking about alligators he chimed right into our conversation, telling us how two weeks ago there was a gator in the lagoon, and how last year one bit someone's leg, and how the ones around here are like 7 feet... I kept poking B (but not with my foot) because inside I was like...HELLO!!!! INTERNAL FILTER!!!!
