Breakfast with Morrie

I had breakfast on Wednesday with one of my favorite people...Richard Henry Morris III.

Now that boy is funny!!! ...and blessed by the Lord. He is working right now doing an internship at a church but hopes to one day make it big in Hollywood..OR go to Winston Salem to work in a church...either /or really...

"I want this cinnamon roll...yes...
the one at the bottom"
Classic Richie comments:
"Its always the same with this Panera...you can never find the napkins..."
"You know that new JJ Abrams movie that is coming out...some people think its going to be about King Kong. If that is the case the heads are gonna roll. I dont think it will be. I think it will be like aliens."

"Dont you tell me Im like Dwight from the Office..."

Of course we had to go to Panera where we always met with the "group". Just seeing him made me miss all of them...Courtney, Blair and Rachel too. Its so poignant because its really part of the job I do...seeing kids grow up and live their lives. High School is such a unique time, its like one period of time with one set of people. You" know the phrase, "You cant step into a river twice?" That is what it is like...It made me miss all those mornings spent praying and listening and laughing and eating and just having community. What sacred moments those were. I know you cant live your life looking backwards and yet recalling those great memories are sweet!
"Patti Shivers' phone...
Oh HEY Mrs. S...how are
you??"

What did we talk about? We talked about what he was doing... Had we seen so and so and him or her? What about this person? Have you seen the new Transformers movie?Do you think Im like Michael or Jim on the OFFICE? Oh my lands...this boy makes a person laugh!

"Check out my best
Jim Halpert look!"

I love those four...I love how they have touched my life and how our threads run together. I promised them I would one day write a book about them but Im not sure words would truly capture the affinity exists for one another.
