Naps always seem like a good idea to me but in reality they make me cranky. I never feel good after taking one...rested yes...but all stuffy and foggy and sweatly and sluggish. Im always crap after a nap and wonder why I took one.
The cat nap is another story...that 20 minute zone into the semiconsciousness leaves me in a better place. I suppose it has something to do with sleep cycles and all.
I took a nap yesterday and when I woke up three hours later I was like...CRANK-EN-STEIN. Im better off going to bed early

I have learned, over the years, that the fine art of nap taking is an acquired skill. If I keep sleeping, eventually the nap becomes awesome. And does not interfere with my bedtime either. This means one of two things, I require lots of sleep, or I am a serious slug. I think I'm leaning toward the latter option. Yawn...I think I'll go take a nap and ponder it later.
not me... no, no, no! No naps! The world might turn and I'd miss something!!!
