I never know what to give, or how much to spend or whats the hottest new thing. Im not very creative with gifts and usually cant remember what people say they want like some people do. (they file it away and then 6 months later give the person the PERFECT gift!!) Im a big gift-card giver. It horrible though because it really shows no thought. Well...I think about it, I just cant come up with something good. Im even actually very bad at the gift card thing too, Im either giving WAY WAY too much or WAY WAY too little. Yes...on all counts around Im a horrible gift giver.
That being said, its why I always revel at when people give ME gifts. My sister for example is a GREAT frigging gift giver. I think its one of her main love languages(am I right J???) (Recall the love languages being: Physical Touch, Gift Giving, Words of Encouragement, Quality Time and Acts of Service) ** She always has just the RIGHT thing for the RIGHT occassion and is always very THOUGHTFUL about it. So she usually gives me something perfect, in just the right size, perfect color, exactly what I wanted, and Im .....handing her..... a gift card....sigh...
E's firm threw us a shower last night. It was sooo stinking sweet, check out the sweet cake they got for us. It was precious. Im just happy to sit around chatting with people and then oh wait...there's PRESENTS!!! I love it that it was E's people too...you know I dont think he's ever been to a baby shower!! We got some great gifts for the baby...its amazing to me to think about how a new child is provided for in this way. My hair looks really good too!
The most precious and thoughtful gifts though were for Kaitlin. She got a Yatzee game, stationary and a frame that says , " Me and My Sister" (which I can finally actually say without bursting into tears...oh my...) THESE are thoughtful and kind gifts and Im so grateful for the moms who thought to include her too!
Im going to try to up my "gift giving" game, although I have my doubts. Anyway, after talking about this with Pumnani, she said, "Really now, what do people want...isnt knowing YOU the best gift of all? "
This is why I love Pum Pum!!
**For the record, my primary love languages are Words of Encouragement and Acts of Service. (so basically, tell me Im fabulous and then do something about it) What's yours??

Would you believe I got my love tank filled today too? My honey surprised me not once but twice today. He let me get my rings fixed that have been broken for over a year and then when we left the shop, in the back of his truck was a used dirt bike so I could practice driving motorcycle all on my own. And the bike was blue, my favorite color! We had traded my original motorcycle in to get the big road bike so this one will allow me to learn how to drive a non automatic bike without going out on the highway and be all nervous about it. I know it met a love language but not sure which catagory that falls under.
