Spring break has finally arrived!
Although, i daresay its not really a break for moms but actually more work organizing and figuring out great ways to spend time with your chile(ren). Its all good. If I had my rathers Id actually sit around and watch movies with her all day, but alas, there is a baby to be fed and diapered, laundry to keep up with and yes, the other daily chores of feeding a family and such. Still, today we headed to the beach...baby and all.
I was quite proud of myself because Im not overly comfortable traveling with the Baby Girl yet. Honestly, Id stay home with her everyday until she is 2 if I could and it were good for her. Im always afraid that she will end up screaming bloody murder for hours on end or that she wont nap and then be a total pill and ruin it for everyone. I dont like being out of my "element" of a controlled environment. Then I worry about stuff like getting a flat tire and not having any formula to feed her while we wait for hours and hours for the Road Rangers to come...yeah...I know I live too much in my head. When I think of these woman during the mid 1800's who traveled across country with their babies in a covered wagon with no AC and no modern conveniences, well...lets just say Im grateful I live in this century.
All that to say...we DID go to the beach today! Look at how cute she was in her "going to the beach" outfit. I do have a bathing suit for her but we ended up not even putting it on her as she was content as pie to sit in her stroller and survey the ocean and her sister and friends digging, playing, running, and building castles.
I love going with H because she has no expectations. If we go and it sucks, we leave. If we are having fun, we stay until it stops being fun. She is very easy, doesn't complain and is one of those people who are just easy to be with. Here she is chilling in her stroller which was draped with a towel to keep out the wind and sand.
On the way home we stopped at blockbuster and got two movies (cause it is spring break after all!) and then hit our favorite, Little Dairy Manor. The funniest part of the trip was when we got home. I backed into the driveway and we all just sat there...licking our ice cream for like 5 minutes. No one even moved to get out!!!
Currently, the Girl and J are in a sugar coma watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua (I hate chihuahuas almost as much as I hate animated movies) Baby Girl is passed out.
I guess Spring Break really IS here!
